he will jump on my chest while im laying down and drool, he also nips at my nose n chin. is this normal cat behavior?
It seems to me that drooling is a sign of pleasure in some cats. The office cat at the vet hospital where I work is notorious for drooling on people he especially likes. We hand them a towel when they come in.
The nips are sometimes called love bites but I would discourage the cat from nipping by putting it down and walking away whenever it starts that.
It is pretty normal. I have a cat that will hop up on your chest and knead her claws on you and then will curl up and drool away on you. Just means that she is relaxed and very happwhy do cats drool behaviory.
Don't you know? he is showing you that he loves you and is happy and content.
He drools as my 2 cays do as they are so content and happy when they are with you and especially when you pet them.my cat Berrie gets the bed or my pants or where ever i am when she comes to be petted and gets it really wet with drool. And for the little bites those are little love bites as he is giving you thanks and little kisses for being so great to him,,,Your cat is just a happy and content cat ..
Cats have individuality. She/he may have her/his own habits. If your cat doesn't do something really unexpected or unnatural (attack, slobber), and you feel that she/he loves you why do cats drool behaviorthen there's nothing to worry about.
Imho, your cat just expresses that she/he loves you with this behaviour.
Of course it is normal behavior. He loves you and is showing you how much. Thats why he goes all unnecessary when you make a fuss of him because it reminds him when he was a kitten and being loved by his mum. Don't you just love cats they are just so cute.
I have a drooler too. They do that when they are happy.
My cat drools too sometimes but I have heard that if it's excessive drooling, you might want to get him checked out. I read on a website it's a symptom of oral cancer but that doesn't mean yours has it.
