why do people laughWhy do people laugh at my drawings?

I really like to draw but whenever I show my drawings to my friends they always laugh at them, they say that is either lame or too childlish and that really hurts my feelings. I'm 13 by the way.
That's extremely rude and immature!! Obviously they have no appreciation for art in general :P Every single one of the most famous artists have been either critisized or laughed at, only because people don't understand the real meaning or the work they put in to their drawings! Take an art class or find some friends that really have the same interests as you... most likely they will love your drawings!
Obviously they are immature. Maybe they're intimidated. If what they are doing is hurting you maybe you shouldn't be friends wwhy do people laughith them.
Dude no wories, people always gave me crap about mine too, so I lost the passion for it for like 2 years. And now that I am in the 9th grade, I kick AV儿劣 on all my projects that require visuals, and people who were mean to me in like middle school now say "Colin I never knew you are a good artist" to which I reply "Yeah, probably because you are usually critisizing me so much you havnt really cared to notice". Just ignore them, and if you think you are good, then dont give up on it because you will lose the ability to handle creative ideas and apply them for others to visualize. Remember, this is cheesy but is true, artists never conform, meaning do your own thing.
you're friends aren't bwhy do people laugheing supportive, don't worry about them. just keep drawing and keep the pictures to yourself, or show them to people who appreciate your work. when your work improves your friends will be jealous and embarrassed that they harassed your talent.
Well, are You doing them for yourself or for others. If for both, than one has to be able to get some licks too. You can shake it off and usr it as a gauge of public opinion, change something or not. It's only beginning, if You have a strong desire for this Art, you'll keep it up and something good will eventually happen and You can say "told you so"....
Some people are just too blunt to understand art.
