freeware antivirusFreeware AntiVirus?

Hey guys I'm looking for a lil help, my wife an I currently use Avast (freeware) although we're looking for a good or amazing freeware alternative since we've came across a few issues with Avast would you please recommend some and give your thoughts including a LINK...

Thanks y'all
AVG is the best free one... and in a recent test I saw in a magazine rated even higher than Norton and other ones you have to pay for!
m i forgot/
Check out:
Yes and AVG I find is the best for freeware.

AVG free:
or

AVG, would be the next best free one.

AOL has a free anti virus progarm that's pretty good.
There are a number of free Antivirus programs that work rather well; I own a small computer business, freeware antivirusdealing mainly with software incompatability issues, Virues, Networking etc...
A couple of the better ones, rated by PC mag.. and ones that I use ALL the time are AVG by Grissoft... (used to be ewido) Counterspy by Sunbelt... Go to www.filehippo.com
to download the AVG & www.counterspy.com
Good luck..
PS...Used AVG free addition for a little over a year and NEVER had an infection.. & I download ALOT.
go to download.com, and type anti-virus, then in the liscences, put free. It'll give you a list. I use Avast on my laptop, and AVG on my PC.
Well I would recommend buying Norton internet secuirty 2007 but with the google pack you can get Norton internet secuirty 2005 free but I'd buy 2007 stayfreeware antivirus away from anything like AVG and Avast that's why their free they don't work as well as Mcaffe and Norton and Panda and others .
dont trust freewares
Kaspersky has the best detection system available, other programs are just advertised more so the masses believe that they're better.

Get Active Virus Shield by AOL (powered by Kaspersky), but don't install the security toolbar when prompted (it's not required and clutters up IE).

It's free because it's missing certain minor features that Kaspersky does include.

Check my source, it was Dugg by many for its accuracy.
how about avg. works very well
Try AVG
